Hello @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting to our forums.

With regards to copying folders (and contained items) within BIM 360 Docs, this is not an available action at this time. To see the full list of folder related actions in BIM 360 Docs, please see the "To Work with Folders" in the Docs product help documentation.

The good news is this functionality is on the road map for Docs, but no date or timeline has been set. I recommend you visit the BIM 360 Ideas board, and VOTE UP - SM.png the following posts to ensure you contribute to the demand for implementation of this feature:

Another Major issue with a very basic functionality.

Each year we start a knew sub-folder structure, same as the previous year.

Looks like we are up to make it all manualy. I thought IT was about NOT doing things manualy...

Four years later and this very basic feature is STILL unavailable. We're trying out Docs on a new project and the lack of this functionality alone is a deal breaker.

Agreed! Obviously, every practice has a specific folder structure and support files that are used across all of their projects. Still, all of these subfolders and files need to be created/placed manually, one by one, to each project_!

A basic copy/paste functionality would save heaps of time here, wasted in performing a boring and repetitive task...

Just keeping this thread alive until Autodesk adds Copy for folder management. They want companies to use BIM360 as the "ultimate" coordinating platform but force people to create folders 1-by-1 for every project, submittal, project team, etc.

Please fix.

This thread and all associated threads on same topic are absolutely absurd.  Four years for a copy option for single and multiple folders is unnecessary.  Who is getting removed from Autodesk and who is being onboarded to address this issue?

Apparently, it's not as easy as people think it is. The IDEAS forum is where you should be discussing this.

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

I cant believe this is still not an available function, very basic function to enable!

Why don't you go over to the IDEAS forum and do something about it. Complaining isn't very productive.

I've found the solution to this problem. Download Autodesk Desktop Connector and copy paste from there 👍

Hello @ashraful_islamBKFWZ you can use Autodesk Desktop Connector to copy paste folders with other subfolders. It's very handy little app that I highly recommend.

2024 and this keeps being a pain in the gutter.... I know Desktop Connector Exists, yet many times the operation of uploading folders must be done from different computers that may not have the option to install third party apps, this thread started back in 2018, so 6 years later I ask; is this going to be implemented at all???
