How can I leave a BIM360 project?

A few months ago a client added me to their project to help troubleshoot an issue in one of their models. They forgot to remove me after, and today I was testing a new feature in Revit 2019.2 and uploaded my test model into theirs before I notice it. I already deleted the model but I would like to remove myself from that project and site altogether. How do I do that? is my only option to email the admin? Please add this option if it's not available.

Strange that your competitors offer this the ability to leave a team without blinking an eye.  No questions asked.

I am still bewildered that this is an issue.  After 5 YEARS it's still being talked about.  I'd be happier if you could tell me that there is some technical reason it can't be done instead of "...you can't because the owner of the group may not want you to leave".  Sounds like some kind of Martial Law software system.

Well I went over to the ideas part of BIM360 and while I doubt there will be any different response from Autodesk but I can always hope.

If you aren't frustrated enough, head over here Manually remove myself from a BIM360 project as the User - Autodesk Community and drop a comment and vote itup.

It doesn't look like it will ever be implemented. Instead of waiting, why don't you contact the project administrator and ask to be removed.

Be realistic. I'm a member on over 1500 projects from 35 hubs, and many are in Europe or date back to years ago. I have been trying to email a few but mostly no one responds or takes action.

This should have been implemented years ago.

this is the kind of responses we get when someone has a basic suggestion for features that should exist. Explaining this stuff away or suggesting work-arounds are inexcusable.

That being said, it is obvious that Autodesk is not going to implement this. Nothing gets improved unless it gets 50k upvotes in the ideas section. And hence the product continues to not improve substantially both overall, and for each niche discipline.

It's probably a central part of the code, which comes back to administration.

Similar to a folder structure on your employers network, you can't get access to protected folders or project structures like on SharePoint - you need to be granted access and have it removed when you don't need it. IMO it isn't broken, just a nice to have, but even then, I'd prefer someone to do their job properly and do the admin - its their job, when they don't do it, email them again...

That would be the old network permissions sure...however most if not all modern cloud solutions like Teams, you can leave a Team, you also have many tools to manage the Organization, which teams are visible and which channels. This is all part of a grander issue of the fundamental architecture of Autodesk Cloud...but i have a whole 'nother thread on that.

Yes, you can 'leave' a Team, and choose not to synchronise folders, and channels - you still have access though, the 'old network permissions' are still there, Microsoft hasn't suddenly changed its architecture overnight.
I work across multiple hubs, and have multiple roles, from Account Admin, PA to end user.
As a user, I don't want to see everything when selecting from a project list, so I maintain my own as a shortcut folder...

While I agree that there is always room for improvement, I'll find another way if needed.

I can manage this list myself. Its simple and gives me access to the projects I need to see.

I received this email from an official Autodesk account. Since, as far as I know, it is still not possible for a user to leave a project  I think I am not going to do anything. Please let me know if this has been resolved.
