Document Share outside BIM360

Hello,

I've enabled the option to share documents outside BIM360 in project admin.. but when i want to do that, BIM360 doesnt give me the uppertunity to select the option.. 

could somebody help me?

Hi, @c.schoneveld.

The feature to share documents with people who aren't part of your BIM project supports any file or folder in BIM 360 “Project Files” folders. In your screenshot, I can see you are trying to share a file in the "Plans" folders.

is it possible to tell me whats the story behind that. why only de project folder?

As the "Project Files" stores the files as they are, and the "Plans" folder processes files by breaking down Sheets, Views, implementing Tileblocks etc., they have different functionalities and uses. The "Plans" folder basically houses the digital equivalent of the printed set of contract drawings for the project. I would imagine this means the public link feature would have different implications in terms of allowing access to an entire file, or only to certain parts of a file.
