Currently, documents can only be rejected during the final phase of a Review. Is it possible to add the ability to reject the documents during the initial review phases?
What is the limitation Autodesk BIM 360 side for allowing us to add in a rejection option at the first step in a review? Is void the review still the only option other than setting up lots of 1 step reviews??
The ability to reject a review as an initial reviewer is important as often approvers may be difficult to get hold of - in general it is the reviewer that will be flagging issues and whether the model is correct or needs rejection and amendment. The approver is making sure the procedure and checks have taken place and are suitably recorded.
This really needs adding to the document reviews function. An initial rejection phase is important for 2 fundamental reasons in a project:
1. It allows for an initial rejection based on the submittal - This could be a QA check for example. Missing title, document name not conforming, missing cover sheet to a document, revision status wrong, wrong file type etc.
2. It allows for an early rejection and for the document uploader to resubmit earlier instead of having to wait for the document to be reviewed before submitting for review again. Often a review will need closing out before resubmitting. This could delay a review for a long period of time causing delays. This helps manage the project and keep reviews, submittals & a project programme on time.
Hi Autodesk, is there an update on this? A mid-review Reject option would be extremely helpful and is a logical progression from the existing review system.
