We need to assign individual values to each individual QA inspection item. Then generate section and cumulative scores. For example:
- item #1 may have a point value of (1)
- item #2 (5)
- item #3 (10)
- item #4 (2)
- item #5 (5)
If an item is NA it does not impact the section or cumulative score negatively
Scoring possible points 1+5+10+2+5=23
Example 1: In the above QA checklist all inspection pass, therefore:
- scores 1
- scores 5
- scores 10
- scores 2
- scores 5
Total Possible 23, actual score 23 result 100%
Example 2: In the above QA checklist item #2 fails, therefore:
- scores 1
- scores 0
- scores 10
- scores 2
- scores 5
Total Possible 23, actual score 18 result 78.2%
Example 3: In the above QA checklist Item #5 is NA, therefore:
- scores 1
- scores 5
- scores 10
- scores 2
- scores NA
Total Possible 18, actual score 18 result 100%No penalty if a QA item is scored NA.
We are currently using a database to track or Field QA. I would like to move it to BIM 360 Build, but I am receiving resistance because there is no scoring associated with it. Our QA reports are provided to our customers and they like having a quantitative value and not just a pass/fail. It also makes it easy to see trends.
