Printing Sets and Editing PDF in Docs

Printing Sets and Editing PDF in Docs

I am logging this on behalf of a customer.

Currently, if the customer wants to load a set into the Plans folder, they need to print to their local PC, then upload to the cloud. Then if they need to edit that PDF, they would then have to re-download, re-package/edit and then re-upload. They said that then generally the PDF just get's saved to their local server. They think it would be great to be able to edit sets directly in BIM 360 and print to PDF.

Thank you,

To add, with the current trend from local servers to cloud based servers (to an extent) any improvements to accessing, saving or editing files on the cloud server such as the Plans folder on BIM 360 would transition firms like mine faster off our local servers to using BIM 360 as our main source or file location.

Right now with no single affordable solution, the "workaround" is to have files scattered through several avenues waiting for one simple solution where a design team, stakeholders, etc. can access one location for all the relevant drawings and information.  Otherwise, all of our projects just do not use the Plans folder, we just use BIM 360 to host Revit and nothing else.

There are those that have fear of "cloud servers" that require a local copy but that topic or restriction does not apply to this conversation.
