Model Coordination - Need near real-time model updates, similar to Glue

Posting on behalf of client, a big drawback for them currently is there is no near-real-time model updates (publishing and processing takes hours instead of seconds), as compared to Glue.  With Glue, users could make edits, post updates and refresh Navisworks data sets within minutes, live during the clash meetings.

They are excited to be able to map Coordination Spaces to folders that can also be a part of the Design Collaboration workflow.  So they are experiencing great overall improvements and time savings in regards to gaining model updates from designers.

However, in the context of clash detection/coordination with trades and fabricators, a more real-time update is desired.

Seriously, we really must have real-time model updates.  We have files that sporadically do not update for days.  The work around is to go into project admin and deactivate the collaboration space and then reactivate it.  I don't mind this so much but it requires giving people full administration rights to everything.  We need more consistent real-time updates and a button to force a refresh of the collaboration space.  It really would help if you could have the file update first to be viewed in Model Coordination and Navisworks, then do the clash detection.  This would speed things up a lot.

Just ran into the same problem.  Models in Coordination Space aren't updating (for 5 days already).  Tried to deactivate/reactivate but no succes at the moment ;-(.

Created a new Coordination Space as a 'workaround' ...

We need an UPDATE MODELS button.
