The BIM viewer is not very optimized for opening images:
1. It is very slow, it doesn't show the image until it is fully loaded. If we are looking at renders (high quality and heavy images), it can take more than 15 seconds to load. Ideally, it should take less than 1 second, like the Sharepoint online viewer, for example.
2. We cannot use markups or issues to communicate ideas with the infographer. No version comparison either.
If we load the images in pdf format, the visualization is faster and we can use all the extra functions (even the version comparator, in a very powerful way).
So it shouldn't be too difficult for the viewer to treat jpg, png, etc, as pdf.
