When managing a lot of users and projects, it is generally easiest to assign permissions by Company, which enables you add users and have them inherit the permissions assigned to their company without having to deal with assigning permissions for each folder for each new user.
However assigning by company doesn't work for the permissions required when you are managing confidential projects and only certain users from a given company need access to some folders but are not permitted to access to certain folders, or if some users of a given company need one level of permissions to certain folders while other users from the same company need a different lavel of access.
If we could assign users to teams, and those users users could be assigned to multiple teams, and we could assign folders permissions by team, we would have the efficiency similar to assigning by company, but with added flexibility and granularity.
