Delete RFI's

RFI's that are closed may have been closed by accident or new information may need to be added without generating a new RFI.  In these cases, the option to re-open and update the RFI using the same number is essential. The history trail will provide the accountability required instead of being permanently locked.

Hi!

While "delete RFIs" is not on the short term roadmap, we are working on a project that may satisfy your requirements.

We are working on the ability to custom number your RFIs.  With this functionality, you will be able to:

1. Void an RFI and re-use the same number.

2. Use a revision numbering scheme if you want to ask a supplemental question regarding an existing closed RFI.

Please let me know if this meets your requirements, and why or why not!

Best,

Laurie

I agree that it would be helpful to be able to re-open an RFI after it is closed. Sometimes an issue seems closed but upon distribution and further discussion with design or contractors, there are more questions on the same issue.

Being able to have a x.1 RFI number would be helpful, but being able to re-open the existing RFI would be even better.
