Current situation:
Currently, it's not possible to open drone captured point cloud data (file type .rcp) inside BIM360 viewer.
Viewing point cloud data is generally possible, but BIM360 for now only supports structured scan data.
In this context, BIM360 uses real view technology. Real view on BIM360 is an online service that provides scan viewing, sharing, measurements and annotations. Apparently, structured scan data is mainly utilized for terrestrial 3D laser scanners, where the scanner itself gets centered on the ground. Unfortunately, that’s not applicable for drones and as a result the dataset remains unstructured.
Idea:
Support unstructured data scan (file type .rcp) within BIM360 viewer.
