Be able to see if a folder is populated without having to open it

When in Document Management looking at the projects folders I would like to be able to see if the folder is populated without having to open it. 

 

Example,

Documents - 0 (I know there is nothing filed here so no need to open)

Drawings - 32 (I know there are 32 items filed in this folder without having to open it)
