Autodesk Build RFI Types

I would like to have the ability to specify the RFI type with the Mobile App. Being able to do this would allow field personnel to select which type of RFI they want to create and it would automatically go to the tagged individual for review in the workflow. Currently when we create RFIs through the mobile app, it goes to the default RFI workflow and unfortunately that will not work for the way we need to use it.

Hi David,

Creating an RFI on mobile, automatically creates it in DRAFT status. Draft RFIs are not assigned a specific type.

However, as soon as the RFI is transitioned, it is possible to choose a type.

So you are saying that the field personnel are supposed to leave an RFI in draft status until they get back into the office and they can then assign the type of RFI there? That doesn’t really seem like a good workaround. I Need the RFI type in the field because when they choose the type, it chooses the appropriate person to go to. There are going to be hundreds of people using this mobile app to create RFIs. I honestly don’t think the best answer to give them is create the RFI in the field with your mobile device but leave it in draft so you can come back to the office to assign them types.

Hey David,

No, that's not exactly what I suggest. 

While RFIs are created in the field in status Draft, it is possible from the mobile device to submit them after creation and once submitted - choose which type this RFI belongs to. There's no need to wait till they're back in the office.
