Assign more than one company to an issue in BIM360 field

Dear Autodesk,

At this moment, when more company’s then one needs to solve an issue you need to make separate issues, even though it is about the same thing.

It would be great if you can assign more than one company to an issue, since in many cases for one issue more than one company needs to work on it to solve it.

It would be even better if you can assign more than one company and put them in order. So first company 1 needs to say: ‘solved’, then company 2 needs to say ‘solved’, etc. And in that order, the entire issue is solved.

P.S.

This idea comes from a couple of clients that made the transition to BIM360 field but are missing some simple adjustments in comparison to other similar programs.

Agreed on multiple assignees but it would be helpful to include some templatization and workflow into this.  It would be helpful to see this functionality rolled out in phases so we can start taking advantage of this before every feature we want is completed...

1. First phase - Allow for issue templates to have multiple assignees
2. Second phase - allow for an issue templates to have multiple lines for trade/assignee combination.
3. Third phase - allow for 4+ step workflows within an issue template with multiple assignees and reviewers similar to the submittal workflow builder.  Due date would apply to completion of all steps and overall punch item.

For the third phase, there are a number of use cases that this would solve:

• issue may require work by a sub tier contractor to be approved by prime subcontractor prior to going to the GC for approval
• issue may need to be forwarded to an engineer/owner rep for approval
• More than one prime subcontractor may be required to complete an issue (e.g. standard issue called "patch & paint dent in wall" would require two line items:
  • Step 1 - Trade 06-700 Drywall, Default Assignee: Dan Drywall
  • Step 2 - Trade 9-900 Paint, Default Assignee: Paul Painter
  • Step 3 - Trade 1-760 Cleaning, Default Assignee: Cheryl Cleaner
