For BIM 360 Field it would be great if there was the ability to assign multiple subcontractors to the same overall issue. First, this would give the ability to create an issue to assign to all subcontractors that are currently working on site. A perfect example would be Issue: "Turn in all new Assured Grounding logs to McCarthy Building Companies office," or "remove all building materials from level 6...," reminding the guys out in the field to keep up on this. Essentially it would need the ability to make some sort of "sub-issues," where each subcontractor would have to change to "work completed" for their piece of the issue. Otherwise, I would have to make a template issue and one by one recreate over 60 different issues which would not be worth doing.
Another more critical use for this would be in creating issues that have complex solutions involving several subcontractors. Ex: in Building Enclosure if I want to send out an issue that involves a flashing corner where a tinner must fabricate a custom designed corner end ****, a roofer must first install a membrane, a glazer must seal under a window, a metal panel guy to put in his flashing and a mason to place the custom end **** and brick over and an out-of-state Building enclosure consultant is to provide details on this and track the actual installation process via pictures at each step, I would have to make 5 identical issues and update every attachment of photo take to all 5 separate issues. Even then I would not be able to use BIM 360 to help us all work collaboratively on the same page and track the issue as a whole.
In summary a simple change to allow this would have limitless potential and would meet the top of industry standards that we have come to expect from Autodesk.
