Adding attachments throughout the 'Issues' and 'RFIs' workflow

Allow users to be able to add attachments to 'Issues' and 'RFIs' when they are first raised from the main Document Management panel (and not from within an already opened file).

The files that users can add to the issue/RFI should be able to be selected from what is already in the system (and so navigation to the file would be required), as well as being uploaded from the users desktop, etc.

It would also be useful to allow users to be able to choose/upload a file when submitting a reply to an issue/RFI. For example, an Architect may want to reply to an issue raised by a contractor, and also provide a sketch/drawings/document to provide additional context to the reply.

As an extra bonus, it would be useful if these document could be annotated as well.

Correct - today, you can only attach photos or link to existing documents as issues/RFIs attachment.

We plan to support attachments in our roadmap (PDF first, followed by additional formats), as we recently included in Submittals.

Attached PDFs will also support markups/annotations.

Thank you for the response.

Is it also on the roadmap for files to be added to submittals/RFIs/Issues
that are already within the system rather than having to be uploaded each
time?

Currently:

* RFIs/issues support photos attachments or linking existing files. Plan to support PDF (and other attachments) in the future.

* Submittals support photos or PDF attachments. Plan to support linking to existing files in the future.

1. I can't find an option for uploading or adding documents that are already in the system for Issues/RFIs?

2. Any inkling of timescales for this feature to be implemented?  Uploading files separately for submission with RFIs/Issues/Submittals is not a good use of time when the files are already in the system.

@Unknown_Account59 I missed your "when they are first raised" mention - my answers refer after the RFI is created.

We are working on adding the possibility to upload attachments during the creation of the RFI.
