A simple compound to simulate the effect of motion blur, by blending between the current and last point positions of the geometry.
It uses point normal and point velocity of the geometry to create a weight map.
weight_by_rotation_angle.json
This map is then used to blend between the current positions and last known position of the object via a lerp node.
Dependencies: force_pull_port and compute_point_velocity from rebelpack.
awesome 🙂
Nicely done Aslan! Will be super useful in animation as a lag deformer 👍
Hi Aslan,
Do you mind uploading a scene with the compound attached to a example mesh? I am fairly new to Bifrost and I can't get my head around it very well. I would love to try this compound, it looks amazing.
Here is a simple example that uses the compound.
Animated sphere moving around and deforms based on it's animation.
I am using the point_weight to blend between two colors in the Hypershade as well.
Note: I made the geometry_motion_blur compound local to this file. you may replace it with your referenced copy if you like.
Hope this helps.
