Bifrost Graph - Random frame from animated abc sequence on each instances

Hello there,

I have an animated alembic sequence file, which I import in Bifrost graph then scatter.

I want the alembic sequences to have random offset in the animation sequence.

I've generated a random value property for each points but I don't know how to use it to offset the animation now. Can I feed the value after the time node to add the offset?

Any helps appreciated 🙂

Thanks for the reply @sepu6

But I'm not using Arnold (Redshift here) so I'm using read_alembic node instead of Arnold_Alembic_Instance.

And there is no Frame property in the basic alembic node, unfortunatelly.

There is another way but is a little more cumbersome. I'll post an example a little later, also keep in mind that you gonna have to bake your instances since RS does not support it.

Thanks, Yes but maybe exporting as USD would keep the instances to be used in Redshift.
