Hi sustainability enthusiasts,

We have some important news and an exciting update to share with you regarding Insight that may impact your workflow. As part of Autodesk's commitment to evolving and improving our tools, we are transitioning from Insight Energy Analysis and Green Building Studio to the next-generation Insight Carbon Analysis.
We wanted to keep you informed about these changes and help you navigate the transition smoothly.

What is the announcement?
Starting April 2nd, 2025, Insight Energy Analysis and Green Building Studio will no longer accept models for analysis from Revit and FormIt Pro. After this date, customers will still be able to access the services to view results and export data. However, please note that there will be no automatic migration of data currently in these services to the new Insight Carbon Analysis. To continue with your analysis, you will need to resubmit models using Revit 2023.1 or later versions. Additionally, starting July 1st, 2025, Insight Energy Analysis and Green Building Studio will be fully decommissioned, and access to these services will no longer be available. We strongly recommend downloading any important data before this date to avoid data loss.

Why is this happening?
This transition is part of the end-of-life process for Insight Energy Analysis and Green Building Studio, replaced by the more advanced and modern Insight Carbon Analysis technology, which offers enhanced features and capabilities.

Important Dates to Remember
Here are the key milestones related to this transition:
  • Effective January 20th, 2025: Insight support will no longer be available via email. Please submit support requests through regular support channels. For guidance on how to get technical support, refer to this public article.
  • Effective April 2nd, 2025: Insight Energy Analysis and Green Building Studio will no longer accept new models for analysis. Existing models will remain accessible for viewing and data export. To perform new analyses, customers will need to submit models using Revit 2023.1 or later versions.
  • Effective July 1st, 2025: Access to the models and analysis results will be removed. We recommend downloading your data before this date to avoid any data loss.
  • Effective October 1st, 2025: Autodesk will no longer retrieve models and analysis data from Insight Energy Analysis and Green Building Studio.
As we approach these dates, we’ll continue to provide updates. If you have any questions or concerns, please refer to our FAQ section for more details. If you're responsible for managing licenses or contracts for your team or organization, we encourage you to share this message to ensure everyone is informed.
We’re excited to help you make the most of this transition, and we look forward to seeing the innovative ways you’ll use the new Insight Carbon Analysis tool!

Best,
Insight Team

Insight serves as a valuable tool for informing design processes and refining high-impact design strategies. However, it does not fulfill the specific reporting requirements for other building rating systems. With Insight, you have the flexibility to expand and customize the analysis according to different methodologies. The power is in your hands.
Here's a powerful resource to get you started on your journey with customizing your analysis using I...

Hi @Tharshayan ,

You can run your sustainability analysis directly from Revit in Autodesk Insight Total Carbon. Autodesk Insight Total Carbon is already installed in Revit and you do not need to specifically install any plug-in to use it.

Let us know if you need support and help in starting your journey with Autodesk Insight Total Carbon.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Best,

Giuseppe
