Hi
I've recently reformatted my MSI gaming laptop, and I'm finding that the Autodesk Destop App isn't working anymore. I tried it after installing Maya and just now with 3ds Max. Whenever I try to load it up, I just get this...
...and get a constant flickering mouse cursor as though it's loading. I've tried closing the app via the Task Manager and reloading it, and I've completely uninstalled it along with Maya, and reinstalled it with Max, but it's still doing it. ๐
I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers for my GTX 1060 - 461.40 - and Windows 10 Home. Still have some updates to install... Also, I've tried deleting the SDS folder under Programdata
I'm also having problems with getting 3ds Max and Maya to work correctly. It won't let me sign in using my username and will just crash. I've tried activating both of them using my license key, but again - crash. ๐
Is there some reason you think you need this application?
Just log into your account here: https://manage.autodesk.com for downloads and updates. Much more reliable.
I do use it for checking if there are any new updates. But even if I don't use it, I can't get Max or Maya to work any more. I try to log in with my activation license or username and the programs just crash.
Not needed, just log in at https://manage.autodesk.com and check.
Uninstall desktop app and save yourself from the unnecessary problems it brings.
Regarding your other applications crashing problems, I'd suggest posting a query in the applicable forum(s).
