Desktop App has stopped working

Installs fail in Desktop App, message shown in app "The digital signature needed for this install can't be verified. Please contact customer support."

Thank you for the assistance, it's easier to use the app rather than logging on to get software updates.

Hello @simon-h

 

Autodesk Desktop App checks the Digital signature for all the updates. Could you please mention the name of the update, so that we will test and contact the product team to fix the digital signature issue.

None of the updates will run in the Desktop App.

Could you please mention the name of the updates, you tried to install and got the message"The digital signature needed for this install can't be verified. Please contact customer support."

 

Last time we got this message for navisworks and revit updates. Product team fixed the issue, it is not an ADA issue. ADA blocks the update if it doesn't have digital signature.

 

 

Please try this

  • Exit ADA
  • Stop AdAppMgr Service
  • %Programdata% > Autodesk > Delete the “SDS” folder
  • Restart ADA.

 

Still you have problem, please try this,

  • Uninstall ADA

   Install latest ADA from here www.autodesk.com/ada-supportinstall

The Desktop App has started working again for most updates, Revit 2018 Steel Connections and BIM 360 Revit 2018 Add-in did not work and I installed them from the web site. I will see what happens next time we get updates.
