Cannot update the desktop app?

Whenever I try to open the desktop app I get a message box that says "Autodesk desktop app update required" (see below)

I can manually download the update and install it but whenever I install the update and try to open the desktop app I still get the "update required" message. I have tried rebooting after installing but still not working.  What do I need to do to be able to use the desktop app again?

Uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop app per...

Now seems to be working fine.
