Turn iPhone X into a 3D scanner

I have been 3D printing for about 3-4 Years now, and I would love to get a 3D scanner, but a big issue is that there are no good 3D scanners on the market that are cost effective. After seeing an iPhone X take a portrait photo, and doing background research it occurred to me that the two cameras use depth sensing technology. I am curious as to whether it would be possible to use that tech and make a good 3D phone scanner that we could use to 3D Print making 3D scanning large and small objects accessible to all.

That requires a seperate expensive device. I was hoping the phone could
like scan a body.
