Education license to personal licence after leaving education.

Education license to personal licence after leaving education.

Have the option after your education license expires to switch account license to a personal use/hobbyist, such that cloud data in Fusion 360 etc. is migrated across. Without the need to download all data from education account and then create a new account with a personal use license and re-upload.

 

Similarly have the option to transfer education license between universities when progressing from undergraduate to postgraduate to a different institution.

I believe you are referring to your student account credentials being used for a commercial account. This workflow is managed by several teams, the Account & Education teams. I will move this idea to the most appropriate place for you so that you get a response on this.

Autodesk is focused on enhancing the experience for verified students in Accounts in a near future.

Until that happens, if you need to use a commercial license on that account, the education license must be removed by contacting our support.

Yeah, this is a Major issue for me. I've been using Fusion 360 for 2+ years and have tons and tons of projects saved on my educational account. Now that I've purchased a professional license I'm faced with the issue of transferring projects and only being able to export a single version. Worse, when I upload an assembly to my new account it gets broken up into tons of parts. So now I'm forced to switch between both accounts when ever I need something. It's exhausting and makes me not want to use the pro account just because It's a nightmare to transfer my data. I mean I've spent hours transferring just a couple files.
