Add Software Coordinator Modifiable Cost Center Field

Add Software Coordinator Modifiable Cost Center Field

I would like to see a "cost center" field when I add, edit or view a user as a software coordinator. It can even be a notes, memo or misc. field. How our contracts are currently setup since the transition from IDSP to AEC, we have multiple, with varying serial numbers and license types.

We have tried condensing or serial numbers down as much as possible but still have 3 separate standalone contracts and 3 separate network contracts. The way we distribute the renewal cost each year is based on how many licenses of varying types are assigned to specific office locations.

As it stands now, we are currently entering a prefix to the user's first name field but if they previously created an Autodesk account or change it upon initially logging in, we are unable to change it back. This is on top of the fact that one can only trust others enough to enter the prefixes correctly when adding a new user.

So our current method requires us to use a mix of SCCM reporting couples with referencing the register users' emails with an AD PowerShell query. It may go unused by some but I feel some corporations could benefit from a cost center/memo field in various ways and cannot be that difficult to add in the grand scheme of things.

Status changed to: Implemented

Hello,

We have recently launched the ability to manage multiple teams of users in Autodesk Account. If needed, you can set up your teams based on cost center, and assign admins, users, and subscriptions to the team for that cost center. This will allow you to track which cost center an admin belongs to. At this point we are still in an early release, and you will need to contact Client Services for the initial set up. After they get you set up, you can self-service manage everything else. Please find more information at autodesk.com/teams

Thank you,
Emily
