Can only run Autodesk Access as Admin?

I downloaded and installed Autodesk Access via the installer at https://www.autodesk.com/products/autodesk-access/overview

However, it will not launch unless I right-click on the Start Menu icon and launch it as Administrator. Further, I cannot login. Clicking the login link opens my default browser and loads https://accounts.autodesk.com/idmgr/callback

From there, I click on "Go to Product" but nothing happens. The URL associated with the button starts with "http://adsk.idmgr:/login?code=". I'm unable to find any local server running associated with adsk.idmgr. 

Any ideas?

Odd that it requires an administrator to run.  Since it needs to be installed as an administrator, it shouldn't need additional permissions to run.

After logging in, your browser may prompt you to open the "http://adsk.idmgr:/login.. " link in Access, and you'll need to do that to complete the login.  If your browser is blocking opening links, you may need to enable that.

There may be other factors in your environment like anti-virus or security settings that's preventing it from working as expected.

Thanks for the reply. I never get any prompt from Chrome or Edge to open Access. I've tried in Incognito and by disabling any AV/security countermeasures.

I tried Autodesk Inventor 2024 Professional on Windows 11 (OS Build 22624.1470).

@danny.polkinhorn @pendean I was able to successfully install and log into the Autodesk Desktop App via https://emsfs.autodesk.com/utility/adskapp/landing/index.html
