Autodesk Access Popup on Citrix VDA sign in

Hi, we're having several users encountering an issue where Autodesk Access will open continuously on a user's session, it appears to be triggered when subsequent users log into the VDA.

lharveyNWUPE_1-1680656008652.png

Users started reporting this on 17/03/2023 and the issue is still occurring.

Version of Autodesk Access installed is Version 1.39.0.174

It is installed on a Server 2019 Datacenter VDA running in Citrix Cloud.

Any suggestions on what we can do to prevent this from happening?

Thanks for the help!

Hi Liam, can you create a support case, and send me the case number here please?

Hi Danny, thanks for the reply. I tried initially to create a support case however we don't have support included in our license. I was prompted to post here.

Same issues here..

would be nice if there was an GPO to disable this for users

It doesn't appear as a separate product in control panel/add remove programs, or through Settings.  I tried the uninstall option on the start menu but it doesn't seem to have done anything.

Sneaky! It doesn't even turn up in Bulk Crap Uninstaller, so it must be part of another installer. I notice there's a service 'Autodesk Access Service Host' and I disabled it - doesn't seem to affect the applications. But I don't know if that will stop AA from popping up...

Edit: was going through the folder C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AdODIS\V1\Setup and in the script folder there's an uninstaller for the service.

Hello,

Same problem under Citrix VDA and 300 users.

Do you think there will be a solution very soon?

Thanks

There is a registry setting to disable users from installing updates. How to disable users ability to install updates via Autodesk Access

With this setting, I haven't seen the Autodesk Access window on any machine?

Hello,

Under Citrix VDA, the operation is obviously not the same. The registry solution does not work.

I don't have experience with Citrix - does it generate a Windows User profile 'on the fly'? If that's the case, then you might be able to inject the registry setting. Maybe Citrix can run additional programs when Windows sets up the desktop. Like I have this registry setting pushed out by the Windows Login script, which runs in the User context.

Hello,

Yes, registry keys can be pushed during user login. But I couldn't find which keys to modify

the only one I found didn't work

Regards,
