Available Update for an old product - AutoCAD 2023.1.3

Good morning,

I recently updated AutoCAD to 2024, no problems with the installation and removal of 2023, but I still have Available updates (1) in the Autodesk Access application: "Autodesk AutoCAD 2023.1.3 Update"

Running the update fails and reports "Unable to Update".

I have tried looking at the registry entries but can't see anything other than AutoCAD 2024 in there.

Any additional help would be appreciated.

Regards,

"Don't be arrogant."  really? I shall just put that down to a small translation issue.

Its bug.

That's it, never mind.
My computer does the same thing.
The same happens with my friend's computer.
There is no way. I'm used to it.

Hi James, there were some issues with showing updates for older uninstalled products that we have resolved in our latest release.  I recommend updating Access to the latest release if you're still having this issue.  https://www.autodesk.com/products/autodesk-access/overview

Hi Danny,

I have tried the latest version, it still shows the older update.

Its bug. That's it.

Live with it for now, know what you need vs blindly assuming the app does, then wait for future updates in 1-2-6-12-24-36-48-60-72 months unless they decide to replace it last minute again with the next major software release.

We have tracked this down to an issue with the uninstall of AutoCAD 2023.  Some registry keys were left behind during uninstallation that Access uses to determine what updates to show.  We have addressed this uninstall registry key issue in the current version of our Installer/Access, but because AutoCAD has already been uninstalled on your device, Access will continue to show the update in your update list.  We have some additional improvements coming in our next release to improve Access' determinations of installed products.

To address this on your device, you'll need to delete the registry keys that were not deleted during the AutoCAD uninstall.  If you do this, the 2023.1.3 update will disappear within a few minutes.  Note that editing the registry can leave your device in an unusable state, and you need to be careful.  I don't recommend this method if you are not already comfortable with this process and confirm that AutoCAD 2023 is actually uninstalled.

The registry keys are:

"Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\UPI2 {C50ACB5F-0533-497C-8B92-1A71BAD83A1E}" for AutoCAD 2023 Shared
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\UPI2 {E5E6D80A-CCA3-40EE-9E4A-0241B4A35ADE} for AutoCAD 2023 Shared Language Pack - English

Thanks everyone for your help reporting this issue!

Hi Danny,

Thanks for the detailed information, I have delete those registry keys as instructed, restarted the computer... at first it continued to show the update but after 10-15 minutes the update disappeared from Autodesk Access.

Thankyou for your assistance!
