Autodesk Access and ODIS

I recently installed the latest version of Autodesk Access v2.4.0.119 as shown in the Control Panel and was surprised to see the registry key under HKLM:Software\Autodesk\ODIS -Name ODISVersion has been removed. A new value Name Version has been created and another key Access has been created.

The latest ODIS version appears to be v1.44.0.502 but I can't find anything related to the versions of Autodesk Access. Did Autodesk Access just replace or better yet incorporate ODIS as both the modern installer and updater? I want to make sure all of my clients are running the latest version of Autodesk Access.

Latest install on my machine:

Co-workers Computer:

I noticed the version of this installation is the same version of ODIS. A release date would probably help understand what is going on here.

There's been a change for the registry settings, see How to disable users ability to install updates via Autodesk Access

But it's still pretty useless, so I wouldn't bother too much.

Access and the ODIS installer seem to be intertwined and there are big plans for both of them - according to some blogs. So far, those plans haven't been materialized and I wonder if / when they actually will...

Hi Zach,

We recently split Autodesk Access from the Autodesk Installer in February, and you should see version 2.4 or later (currently 2.6 as of this post).  You can always download the latest Access from the Product page or from the Release Notes.  Both  include the Installer as a dependency.
