When Placing Valves in 3D Program Freezes

Whenever I place valves in this one particular 3D file it always freezes and I can't figure out why. I think the file is corrupted somehow so I opened an older backup from a few days ago. It was working fine for a while and then the problem just re-surfaced all of a sudden. I hate to say it but feel I need to completely start over fresh with this model. Has anyone had this problem? I even un-installed Plant 3D, upgraded to the latest version and still happens.

You can investigate the dmpuserinfo.xml in report to have more idea about the error or you can post the file here and I can take a look at it otherwise I think no one can help without information.

When Plant 3D freeze will it ask you to send report to Autodesk? if it does then click on report detail and then you can see these files.

No it never has done that it just completely freezes and there is nothing I can do except manually shut down from the task manager.

Hello @scott.dennisjr

Difficult to answer your question

I recommend you on your project

1 - Empty the Plant 3D cache by launching "PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe", file placed in the folder "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 202x\PLNT3D"
2 - Run the "AuditProject" command from the data manager without opening a drawing
3 - Open the 3D file and launch the “Audit” command

Thanks for trying to help but it continues to freeze despite doing the audits. I think the file is corrupted and unfortunately I'll probably have to just start over at this point.

Can you show which specific valve making the program freeze? I used to have the same issue when the valve is python coded and it has some error with infinite loop => also make program freeze.

I tested it out again and unfortunately doesn't look like any specific valve. Any valve I try it will freeze up upon placement.
