Valve direction on Isometrics without using an Actuator

Hi

I would like to know if it is possible to show the direction of a valve on an isometric, without setting up an actuator in spec editor for that valve?

Thank you 🙂

@jovan.maharaj ,

No
The valve actuator alignment on the Iso only works if the valve body and actuator are set up in the catalogue and the Spec and are inserted in the 3D model.

What do you think would be a work around to that problem, if you are using custom scripts that generate the valve body with an actuator? @h_eger

@jovan.maharaj ,

one solution is to create the Python script as ValveBode in the catalogue.
Then create a parametric actuator in the catalogue (it does not have to be very large) which is located within the Python script and then assign it in the catalogue.
So I don't see the parametric actuator in the 3D model but the correct orientation of the valves appears on the isometry.
