Using elevation grip turns off polar

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I use polar tracking for all my angle needs but when using the elevation grip on piping it turns on orthomode, which is fine but when the command is finished it doesn't turn polar tracking back on.

This has been an issue across many versions and I think I originally reported it back in the 2014 version.

It would be good for it to remember whether polar was active before and restore that setting after.

Thanks,

Scott

Hi,

DYNMODE is -3.

OSMODE is 4159 (the first 8 except geometric center)

Thanks

I tried the link. The link however is talking about display issues and didn't work.

The issue is having polar tracking on when using a elevation grip on a piece of pipe, which will result in ortho turning on and polar turning off and once the command is finished ortho turning off but polar not turning back on.

When using the elevation grip it needs to record whether polar was active prior to the command starting and reinstate it after completion.

This has been around for a while, not just 2018.
