UPDATE THICKNESS FLANGE VALVE

Hello,

After update thickness flange valve in SpecEditor.

The thickness of the valve flange are different in 3D model, same in specification !

The first length of port 1 is correct the second length of port 2 not same.

Result, bolt set are two lengths

Flange thickness is correct = 23.9

Only 1 thickness is changed with the update specification function ?

See attached file.

Best regards.

Hi Serge,

when I look for your snapshot, I note that flange thickness 1 is 25.4 larger than for the second port: 0,9409 *25,4 = 23,9 (rounded). So, one port seems to be in inches, and the other one is in mm. Have you changed the units for one port in the catalog and afterwards you might have done a spec update from catalogs?

Best regards

Bernd

Hello,
The 2 valve flange ports are in inches in the catalog, it's ASME catalog modified in metric.
Functionality of SpecEditor

But after adding the component in specification the value is converted in inch

The problem does not come from multiple conversions, first catalog inch -> mm -> inch -> mm model 3D conversion !?
Best regards.

Hi Serge,

your screenshots aren't visible in the forum thread. We only see that: [cid:image001.png@01D537C3.7B671040]

Please, can you send me the spec and the catalog. Depending on the size you can just attach them to your email reply to my email or you can use the article to upload your data to the case.
