I understand that you want to have a dimension from the mid of the elbow to the part component annotated by a 3. Am I right? If yes, what for an iso symbol type and SKEY does this component have?

Here you go: Open isoconfig.xml with a good xml editor like XML Notepad. Switch to the node "Themes - Theme (name= Default) - Dimensions - DimensionTypes - DimensionType (name = String) - AnchorPoints. Create here a new Anchorpoint. Call it e.g. "Union", enable it and set the filter to "Union" (this filter already exists by default). For the end points set "Center". See here:

Please, let us know if I could help you.

Hi, thank you for the isoconfig.xml. I have found 3 issues:

  1. The anchor point was added to DimensionType "Overall" instead of "String".
  2. The anchor point was placed on the wrong level. It was placed as an anchor point for another anchor point. Which has resulted in an error when I try to get the xml-file opened via XML Notepad.
  3. From the snapshot from you, I could see that the size of the pipe line is 25. By default all sizes equal or less 50 are belonged to the "Small Bore Piping"-theme. You can set this borderline in project setup, node "Isometric DWG Settings - Dimension", at the bottom you see "Small Bore Piping up to and including" with a selection list. Here you can set different values.
    1. About Small Bore Piping Theme: By default components which are falling into Small Bore Piping theme have less annotations and less dimensions in isometric drawings.
    2. I have enable the string-dimension for Small Bore Piping Theme in isoconfig.xml and have added here as well the anchor point for Union. See attached Snapshot

Attached is also the updated isoconfig.xml.

Please, let us know if I could help you.

Best regards

Bernd

Yes, I've got it. I have attached your modified iso style Prefa_A3. Use this iso style to get the correct isometric of the content of drawing2.

Please, let us know.
