Report Creator Lockup

Changing the cell alignment or border causes the report creator to lock up. I can change any other cell except that one.

I have been able to change most of the attributes of that cell but not the alignment or border.

Some of the other cells seem to change the setting back for font after I have set it to a specific size.

In the format editor the same issue occurs - lockup after the border or alignment is changed.

The report was a copy of the 3D Parts report with some tweaks.

Correct. Win 10 Home.

I copied the report and modified it but same issue, locks up if I change alignment or borders.

This is the report. I think there is something wrong with the report file. It works to produce the report but the format is wrong. Trying to fix the format locks up the program.

The attachment is the report file but renamed to allow it to be attached. Rename it back to an RCF.

Hmm, the attached file is corrupted.

Can you recreate the report?

Thanks Ryan, I recreated the report but same issue. I started again from the 3D Parts report, made a copy, edited it & it worked. I will just scrap the original report. It worked to make the report but I couldn't edit the last field.

Mine locks up when trying to do the text justification also.  Another person here has the same problem.  Really annoying.

It is Plant 3d 2018 Report Creator.  Latest updates have all been installed.  It is Windows 10.   The report files are not corrupt.  My reseller was able to duplicate this.  It may be a conflict with a recent windows 10 update.

I'm also having this problem, in versions 2016,2017,2018 with all SP and updates. Very annoying, prevents creating a decent report layout

Hi Hartmut,

I've noticed your replies, as I'm also having this exact issue, and am currently running Windows 10 Enterprise, version 1709, and Plant3D 2018.2, on enterprise

I am curious what your solution involves thanks?

Cheers,

Then end result on this is that there is an conflict with the 2018 report creator and Windows 10 updates.  You do have some work around's.  If you are wanting to change the border of a cell, just type in what it needs to be instead of using the drop down selection.  The drop down section is what is locking up.  You can type "All" or "None" or "Left, Right,Top,Bottom" and it works fine.  You can use the few text justifications on the top ribbon as well to change the text justification.  Other than this, everything works fine.

Note:

You can use Plant 3d 2018/2019 interchangeably.  In other words you can take a 2018 project and open it in 2019, and then go back and still open it in 2018.  However if you open and save a report creator file in 2019, you can not go back to 2018 report creator.  But this does not affect opening the project in plant 3d 2018, just report creator 2018.
