Properties not appearing in Navisworks when exporting Plant 3d file with xref

Dear gurus,

I am facing the following issue when working with "Area Master Models" as defined in "Autocad Plant 3D - How to Manage Large Projects". This is just an empty file where all the files which belong to these zone are xref.

The issue is when i export this "Area Master Model" as dwfx to Navisworks, properties don´t appear.

PIP_UW3 is the file containing the xref

On the other hand i exported the file which are xref in the "Area Master Model" to dwfx and all properties are properly displayed in Navisworks. So the issue appears when exporting to dwfx the file containing the external references.

Besides i have found some articles from autodesk regarding this issue but for .nwc export which i am not considering.

Advices are welcome!

Why do DWFX? Just read the native DWG file and make sure the Object Enablers are installed

Thanks for the reply. It works, properties appears when reading the dwg itself.

We use the dwfx file because it loads faster.

Although the .dwg way works, any suggestion for skipping this issue with dwfx import?

Thanks

Once you get the first file loaded, the NWC it creates should help load times. As for the DWFX, I don't know the answer, but personally I'd forget about DWFX and just go with DWG.
