I'm trying to develop a bit of a standard for our company for project close-out for Plant 3D CAD files. I'd like a bit of help to find out if there are any other items that should be removed/cleaned from the files before handing over to the client.
What I've got so far is something like this;
Open one file at a time
Detach all XREFs
Purge (quick ALL)
Turn all layers off
Turn on layers for one line at a time and check;
1. No components from another line
2. All components are still connected
Unlock all layers
Unlock all lines
Turn on all layers
Thaw all layers
Remove all 2D components (construction lines, circles, etc..)
Remove all non-essential components (operators, vehicles, etc..) and put into a separate CAD file
Use the Filters command to delete all layer filters
Use the View Manager and delete all non-standard preset views
Use the Default Scales List and delete all annotation scales (Imperial and Metric) except for 1:1
Use the -.purge command to purge all items individually (do this 3 times minimum)
Audit the file
Lock all lines and layers
Set the VPORTS to single
Set the VIEW to the Top preset view
Save the file
There will also be a bit of a procedure for the project after each individual file has been cleaned up. I could use some help with that as well, as I'm not the CAD Administrator. The only things I know should be done are;
Audit project
Compress project
Purge local cache (this doesn't seem necessary?)
