P3D 2014 - 'FRONT' ortho view unavailable to select

This may be entirely user error but, when a new ortho view is created in a brand new drawing, the 'FRONT' view is 'redded' out & unavailable to be created. Does this mean the front view exists somewhere in my template & needs to be removed?? If so, how? Any other thoughts as to how to fix this?

Thanks!

It would appear that the template already has the placeholder for the Front View, yet no views exist in the drawing. Also, if I delete the Front View from the list in the Project Manager (as per first screen shot), the next time a Front View is generated it appears as a tiny white box in the lower left corner & cannot be edited.

Perhaps this visual aid will help:

Hi Dallas,

Yes, always a good idea to include some images. Thanks!

You should be able to make as many front views as you like. It’s just that they each need their own name – no duplicates (that’s what the red means)

I think you just need to click into the red box and give it a unique name, like “Front View 1”

Thanks for the tip about changing the name of the view, I had no idea field could be edited there. That helps.

However, it still doesn't explain why it is red in the first place - how can I remove the Front View (and apparently the Left View) from being pre-populated in the drawing in the first place (as per my first screenshot)?
