[P&ID] putting the drawing number?

Dear,

I was putting the P&ID drawing numbers as following steps.

1.  create new P&ID dwg file

2. replace "####" of the "drawing number on the title block tab. (please see the figure)

However, when I see the dwg property using right click, my drawing number was not populated into the property dialog box.

And, when I tried to OPC, it did not get the drawing number at all, just empty space as seen below.

What did I do wrong? The other project I made before did not have such weird thing.

Hello

The title block drawing number is a field linked to the drawing property "DWG number"
You should not change the value "###" directly on the title block but fill in the property of the drawing.
Then launch the "REGEN" command to update this information in the cartridge

If you have broken the link, you must recreate it by selecting the text then creating the field linked to the P&ID drawing number

Note
Any text object on a gray background (by default) corresponds to a property field. If you manually replace this "###" the link is broken.

Le numéro de dessin du cartouche est un champ lié à la propriété du dessin "Numéro de dessin"
Vous ne devez pas changer la valeur "###" directement sur le cartouche mais renseigner la propriété du dessin.
Ensuite lancez la commande "REGEN" pour mettre à jour cette information dans le cartouche

Si vous avez cassé le lien, il faut le recréer en sélectionnant le texte puis créer le champ lié au numéro du dessin P&ID

Note
Tout objet texte sur un fond grisé (par defaut) correspond à un champ de propriété. Si vous remplacez manuellement ce "###" le lien est cassé.

Actually, after creating a new P&ID drawing, you should go directly to the drawing properties and enter the DWG number so that your title block of the P&ID drawing updates automatically and the OPC connections should show the correct P&ID drawing number.

You are right. Unfortunately, I did not know it because I am a trial & error user based on the youtube and internet surfing. So, this forum is so precious to me. 🙂

I have  Valve tag using the my drawing number. But when I change the drawing number , the tag doesn't change automatically. Why?

there are several reasons for this:

1. you didn't put it on your Christmas wish list
2. you did not go through this point in your AutoCAD Plant 3D P&ID training course
3. there is an error in your TAG configuration
4. there is too much information missing to help you!

for point 2 . I am doing trial and error . I didn't go to course.

For point3 . May be you are right. To synchronize project data with projects drawing , we can set SYNCSTYLESMODE . I thought I need something like this code.
