Can`t find symbol for specified part Plant 3D 2024

Hi,

Until a few days ago I have been creating all types of pipe fittings without any incident to create my own specifications, but I don't know what happened that stopped working correctly and I can no longer create any type of part.

I first make the block of the part (in this case I am creating Bushing), then I apply plantpartconvert assigning the two respective arrows, then I go to the specific one and make the part as if it were a concentric reducer, finally assigning the block that I have created . previously. I update the specifications list, choose the specification in which the Bushing is and proceed to insert the created part, in fact, you can see the icon of the part in Tool Palettes, but when I click on it to insert it in the drawing it is when I get the following message on the command line;

"Can`t find symbol for specified part."

What could have happened to make it stop working for me? I have tried creating the parts in different catalogs and in different specifications and the same thing still happens to me.

I greatly appreciate your help.

Greetings.

Hello @DVaquand , Thank you for your response but I have tried and it still doesn't solve the problem.

I find it strange that I can see the icon in the tool palette but it won't let me insert the part.

Does anyone have any more ideas as to why this might be?

Thanks

Hello @juancarlosmv1980

try

1 - Empty the Plant 3D cache by launching "PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe", file placed in the folder "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 202x\PLNT3D"
2 - Run the "AuditProject" command from the data manager without opening a drawing
3 - Open the 3D file and launch the “Control” command

Essayez

Hi @DVaquand ,

In step 3, I understand that I open the 3D drawing and then write "control" in the command line, but I only get the command option "controlvalve", I think that's not it, right?

Hello @juancarlosmv1980

3 - Open the 3D file and launch the “Audit” command

Otherwise

Open the catalog and see if the custom component block is recognized.
Check in the specification editor if the catalog search path is correctly configured.

In the "Cpack" folder of your catalog you should have a "DIN Pipes and Fittings Catalog" folder a "DWG" folder which contains all the custom blocks.

Please note, in this "DWG" folder, each DWG file is in fact the family code of your personalized parts. Inside each file (family), the blocks (custom part) whose name corresponds to that defined, diameter by diameter, in the catalog are stored.
