Line number pipe remains unassigned after changes to pipe in 3D

Hello,

I use Plant 3D 2024. To my opinion the latest service pack. After creating pipe with "route new pipe" linenumber tag remains unassigned.

This also occurs when changing size or service.

Autodesk knows about the issue, I tried their solution for 4 times, the linenumber tag stays unassigned.

This seems to be a bug of some kind.

Can anybody enlighten me?

Thanks

Close Plant 3D and run the cache purge command, PnPLocalDataCachePurger.exe. Then reopen and Audit project.

If my reply was helpful, please give a Kudos or click the Accept as Solution button below (or both).

@theodoor.vink ,

since we do not know your project configuration, it will be a bit difficult to help you.
If you create a Standard Plant 3D project, will your pipes lose the TAG?

Hello @theodoor.vink

I noticed that if the line label was incorrect Plant 3D defined the line as "unassigned"
Check if there is one or more “?” characters in the label name.
You can see it from the data manager.

== French ==

Dear H-eger,

What information about the set-up do you need?

Clearing the cache and redoing Project Audit does not solve the problem.

Making a new project using project wizard, where I select infromation of the old project seems toe work.

The pipe is assigned. But I need the old project for a client.

Do you have enough info now?

Hope to hear from you.

@theodoor.vink ,

we would need access to the Plant 3D project otherwise I don't think we could provide a solution.

I don't see an oppertunity to send you the whole project file.

Our company forbids us to send native files to externals.

I send you a settings overview of the P3D Line Group Settings.

Hopefully you can see the problem in here.

Have you selected all connected parts associated with the line and changed it to a new number? What are you trying to label the line number?

Of course I have.

As mentioned before after I create a Pipe with Line number 001 (for example), it becomes unassigned after placement.

And if I change the line number I select all connected components to change the number. The number remains unassiged.

As also mentioned before this is known by Autodesk. But their solution does not work.

Anybody?

Is the spec that you are using from an earlier version of Plant?

Have you tried auditing the project? This removes the unnecessary line numbers that might be intercepting your line number.

The last resort would be to start a new clean project and copy your model into it.

What is the autodesk solution? Have you shared your project with them?

This seams to work. Fortunately it is only one pipe.

For the moment I consider the issue closed.

But the error in the "Old" project still remains
