Hello, I am trying to translate text in BOM table. I don't want to make it in my iso template, because when I need to change something I need to translate text all over again. Is it possible to change it in isoconfig.xml file? Can I translate also isometric informations like "connected to" etc. in this file? I am using P3D 2018.

Hi Ruffy. Thanks for your response but I asked also about translation of categories in BOM, for example "valves", "pipes", "bill of materials" etc. What about that? Can I change it in xml file? If I remeber correctly it is not possible to change it in project setup. Am I right?

Could you please explain me where in xml file I have to change it? For example I want to translate "quantity" text from BOM.

Sorry i missunderstood you, i read to much Threads 😄

you can change the column names from the BOM trough Project config.

go to Isometric DWG Settings -> Titleblock / View -> on the right site, choose your tempalet at the top and click on Titleblock administration or something like that, the isometric Template should be open. There you see the BOM Table. Unlock the formating for the Columns and rows in the ribbon.

Change the Name QTY to Quantity for example. Lock the cells again, thats it.

Please do not change the names in the <>, thats the attributdefinitionnames. If you change that your BOM will not working.

Edit: there are some strings which are hardcoded, but don´t know which one actually but you will see that.

So isometric Translation can be done by Project Settings like my screenshot above, Isometric Template for BOM Headlines, Isoconfig.xml for things like Actuator Orientation...

This solution is not good enough for me because if I want to change something in BOM (after translation) all text that I have already translated change again to english words 😞 Is it possible to change something in xml to have this traslations permanently?

Can you show this in screenshots? i dont know what you mean,

you shouldnt chnge something in your bom after isocreation. if you want a english template, creat your template in english, if you want to create a russian template create a russian. if you want use both, create both and switch to the template you want by isocreation
