How to auto-populate pipeline data and offpage connectors

Is there a way to have the offpage connectors auto-populate data upon connection on another drawing?  To clarify, we have a service code in the line tag, such as "S" for steam, then in the pipeline properties I put "150# STEAM" in a "Commodity" field and then that shows on the connector.  I want the "150# STEAM" to come in on the connector automatically when I connect on a new PID.

What about have the continuing line acquire data such as insulation type and thickness upon connection to the originating line?

Currently I get the little warning triangle that properties are different and I have to go back and refill the insulation thickness etc.

Dear @daniel.klingspor ,

Unfortunately this is not possible with the standard Offpage Connector from Plant 3D.

I use the Plant Express Tools Offpage Connector for this because I can set which fields are taken over when connecting lines between several drawings.

When creating your OPC block annotation attributes i.e. #(xyz.zyx) if you want to get data from the page/line it's connecting to use #(=xyz.zyx) notice the "=" sign before the property.

@h_eger

Thanks for the reply.  I've been looking at their tools, because the more I dive into the smart P&IDs the more I realize the limitations such as these.

@George.Endrulat

Thank you for the reply.  Your suggestion does work but only on one drawing.  For example:  If I fill out the commodity field on PID 101 and then complete the offpage connection on PID 102, the commodity will show on the connector on 102 but not on 101 unless I manually fill out the property again on 102.  So basically what I was doing before unfortunately.

Is it a property that can be different on different sections of a given pipeline?  If it is then you'll have to fill it out on each side, if it's not then move that property to the pipeline.group and have it be the same across all instances of that pipeline.
