Flange Group Annotation trouble

Hello,

I am trying to separate the Flange and Gasket Bubbles.  We do not list Bolts in our BOM where I work.  I created a Flange/Gasket group and if I enable the multiple blocks option I get no bubbles on the Iso.  For the moment it seems I am stuck with one bubble with Flange and Gasket numbers together.  Any help will be appreciated.  using Plant 3D 2023.

Hi Jon,

I've been looking at this and it seems that the group schemes expect to have 3 components and pass 3 ids through to an annotation block. 

For a workaround, I have managed to persuade it to display just flange and gasket ids with a new annotation block that receives all 3 ids as attributes but only displays 2.  I also swapped around the bolt and gasket Tags in the GroupFormat:

In the block editor, attribute X06 is set to invisible, the rectangle is a wipeout frame:

Thanks Andy.  I'll try to implement this and will get back to you.  What are you using to edit and view the XML?  I have been using XML notepad, and I admit I am not crazy about it.

I still have concerns, because there are no bolts in our models.  It is considered a stock item for the shop, and we don't include them in our designs.  So I am wondering if this is going to cause more issues

Me again.  I have been busy today and still haven't been able to try and implement this.  Andy, you made a custom block using one of the provided blocks I'm assuming?

Andy.  It took some finesse in the IsoConfig, but I got it working without having to create a new block.  Thanks for your guidance with this.  You've been a big help!  I do have one more question though.  In your picture the leader is pointing at the lead bubble, mine is pointing to the center between the two.  How can I change that without manual manipulation?  Sorry for asking about the simple stuff, but I am just getting my feet wet in the advanced settings and IsoConfig.

At First it wouldn't work, then I set IncludeMate to "false" and it worked.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, the arrangement of the guide line is not adjustable. This always goes to the geometric centre point.

Pleased you have this working now, and thank you for the input.

I was not able to get this to work simply by setting IncludeMate to false.

Comparing my isoconfig with yours, I have noticed that the lines GroupFormat Count="3" and GroupFormat Count="4" also need to be removed to make it work.

The position of the leaders is controlled by the AnnotationLeaderStyle setting LeaderConnectionPoint. 3 options: AnnotationMiddle, AnnotationCenter and AnnotationCorner give the following results:

You are correct.  Sorry I didn't mention taking those out.  It was late and my Brain was close to clocking out for the day.
