duplicate tag/annotation

Plant 3D 2023 P&ID

Hello,

I have created a unique symbol called 'Spray Nozzle' for P3D 2023 P&ID and added it to “Project Set up” – “Class Definitions” - “Piping Speciality Items”. The problem I have is that when I tag and annotate it, it doesn’t warn me if I enter the same tag/annotation twice for a duplicate symbol, usually there is a warning or a question mark in the column “Tag” in the “Project Set Up”,

Is there something I need to tick or is there something I need to set?

See attachments

Thanks, Paul

Hi Paul

I've faced the same issue. PSI allows duplicate tags by default, you have to change this in the SQLite files or if you use SQL database you have to do it in the database.

Since we run Vault, we also have database, my IT will not allow me to make changes to the DB, so we just have to live with this "issue".

Edit: updated with correct link

Thanks Martin Jensen,

That link is very helpful/enlightening. Thanks for taking the time to answer. I might also try and drop it into one of the folders to which components in AutoCAD P&ID need a unique tag, to see if that works, just as an experiment.
