Compass snapping only to one angle not increments

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am having issues inside one file where the Compass tool for placing pipe is only snapping to the angle you set in the toggle Snap increment, not every increment.. (e.g 0 degrees or 15 degrees not every 15 degrees)..

All other models even within the same project are working as expected. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Chris

Probaly your F8 (ortho MODE) is activated ...

so ... turn off F8 when you use the Compass

Seems the problem was having the clockwise check box ticket within units.

There is a glitch in Plant where if this is ticked it turns 15 degrees into 345 degrees which there is obviously only one choice within 360 degrees.

Unticking clockwise angle rotation in units and then pressing reset in the angle list on the compass panel in the ribbon.

I found that I can turn on "clockwise" in units afterward. I don't know if you just need to hit reset on the angle constraints to get this to work though. Thanks for finding this Chris, it's been driving me crazy.

To the person who said turn off F8... Not helpful in the least.
