Change Skew Angle for an Individual / Single Isometric Drawing

Good morning!  I have some piping that is drawn in an orthorgraphic fashion (parallel to the X, Y, Z axis) and then some piping joining those together that are not modeled in orthographic angles (say 45 degrees instead of perpendicular to both).  The orthographically drawn pipe comes in just fine with my production isometric drawings, but the angled pipe displays with a different skew angle.  Is there a way to adjust the skew angle of just one isometric sheet or is there some setting that can help me out?  I just want to make sure that my isometric drawings are consistent.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Thanks in advance for any assistance, hope all is well and have a most blessed day!

Hi Pete,

The guys over at PDO Team seem to have a post discussing just about everything (except for what I look for ). I have not had a chance to test the method detailed in the link below for isos, but the concept seems correct. The PCF files that are written determine how everything is drawn, and I would guess that adjusting your UCS to specific skewed piping configurations might get you there. Hope that helps.

Why?

If the pipeline is skewed to whichever North you happen to be using for the Plant then its skewed, if its in the N-S-E-W direction then its not.

I agree. Drawings produced not in a standard true north orientation will not align with the building, however, from a fabrication standpoint, aligning the UCS to the skewed piping should allow for a more easily readable drawing. As long as all dimensions are accurate, then the Fabrication should come out correct and with a lower likelihood of error. It's certainly not a practice that I would necessarily condone, but I have seen some rather complex piping systems that could have benefitted from using just such a practice.
