File does not appear when clicking "Open in web app" option in sharepoint

I see the "Open in web app" option in sharepoint. I click it and it briefly shows a microsoft signin screen and then continues to the web app. The web app is then at the home page, and my file that i tried to open is not appearing. It's in Sharepoint, not OneDrive, so I'm not sure how to get around this. Any help?

Hello @Anonymous

Welcome to the AutoCAD Web App forum.

I am thinking about a browser issue - did you try it in "64-bit Google Chrome, 64-bit Mozilla Firefox, and 64-bit new Microsoft Edge (Chromium based)" as mentioned in the Supported Browsers and System Requirements?

If it does not work, please let me know if your colleagues face the same issue.

Best regards,

Thomas

Thank you for the reply Thomas! So I am running 64 bit Chrome. Also, yes, this is an issue that both a colleague and I are facing and we're both working from our personal laptops at home.

Hello Paul @pe_warwick

sorry to hear that. Until now there is no update on this case. Unfortunately there are no time frames that could be mentioned.

For now you will need to alternatively work around the problem by accessing files through another avenue, essentially downloading them from SharePoint or putting them directly on OneDrive or other cloud drive supported by AutoCAD Web. If possible, I would recommend installing the desktop AutoCAD product on the system and using it instead of AutoCAD Web.

Best regards,

Thomas
