Cannot connect Leica Disto X4 to AutoCAD mobile App on iPad
I've connected my Leica Disto X4 easily to my mobile phone (samsung) successfully and it works well however I would like to use a bigger screen. So I foolishly assumed that Apple be able will do it seamlessly on an iPad. The app downloaded and when opened it doesn't even list 'add source' in settings. I also tried Disto Plan App and couldn't connect the Leica to the iPad at all. I didn't realize that Apple is so un useable? Is there a date when this will be rectified or is everyone too busy counting their subscription fees?
Maybe Autodesk should look at the issue rather than just sending useless automated responses which have a splash of ignorance.
The information in both Leica and AutoCad sources infer that this IS POSSIBLE. Could Autodesk either make it work or make it clear that the Leica Disto DOES NOT connect to the AutoCad App. I'm not looking for an 'announcement or a timeline' just good old honesty when selling products.
We get it, you spent a small fortune and are stuck. No one around here regularly is Autodesk: we are all end users just like you helping each other out.
Look around this forum for your iPAD/iOS/Leica issue to see it's been here for a while with no information about a defined timeline to fix it. Whatever you find elsewhere means nothing, it is outdated or "aspirational".
The fix/update could come out tomorrow. Later this week. Next Week. Next Month. Next Year. We just don't know right now.
