Programmatically Change MEP Services

I'm seeing if there is a way to programmatically change services with MEP parts. Ideally, I'd like to find a way for the user to simply type in a command which allows them to select a service, once the service is selected it changes from one service to another (in this case from the "new" service to "existing". Not finding a way to programmatically change services though.

Can you explain further which MEP Services you are referring to?

My initial comment could be a confusing as we call them "Services" at work but in CADMEP they're "Systems"

It is possible to change System with Lisp.
Example here:

Maybe you will find something in the code that will help you.
This lisp matches System property of selected MEP objects.
